Kairos Travel guides

When is the best time to visit Egypt?

The right time depends on the regions you visit and how you like to travel. Start with the days you would like to enjoy: cultural visits, time on the river, the coast or a mix.

Understanding the seasons

Egypt’s tourism authority describes a moderate winter from November to April and a hot summer from May to October. Nile Valley summers are hot and dry; winter evenings can be cool. This helps with planning but does not replace forecasts closer to departure.

Cairo, Luxor and Aswan

For a cultural itinerary, consider walking time and exposure to the sun. Spreading out visits, allowing breaks and avoiding too many major sites in one day improves comfort. Tell us about any mobility needs while we prepare your plans.

The Red Sea and time in the water

Swimming, diving and simply relaxing do not necessarily lead to the same choice of dates. Wind, sea conditions and your comfort with different temperatures also matter. Share your priorities before choosing your stay.

If your dates are already fixed

We adapt the stops and pace to your travel period instead of repeating a standard programme. Tell us how flexible your dates are, how many days you have and which places matter most.
