Lord of Swiss SA, trading as Kairos Travel, places the highest importance on the protection of your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes the processing operations, their legal basis, duration, recipients and your rights. It applies to kairos-travel.ch and any business interaction with our agency.

2. Applicable legal framework
Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nLPD) since 1 September 2023. For EU residents, GDPR (EU 2016/679). Given the scale of processing, Lord of Swiss SA is not required to appoint a DPO. Questions to info@kairos-travel.ch.
3. Data collected
- Identification: surname, first name, DOB, nationality, country of residence, passport number (for tickets/visas only).
- Contact: postal address, email, phone.
- Travel: dates, destinations, group composition, dietary/medical requirements, accommodation preferences.
- Payment: only what is necessary for billing. Banking details handled exclusively by our payment provider.
- Browsing: IP, browser, pages visited, duration, source (see Cookies).
- Correspondence: emails and messages.
4. Purposes and legal bases
- Quote response — pre-contractual measures.
- Contract performance (booking, transmission to DMC, follow-up, assistance) — contract performance.
- Billing, accounting, tax — Swiss legal obligations (CO Art. 957+, VAT).
- Newsletters/marketing — consent (revocable).
- Audience measurement — legitimate interest + consent for non-essential cookies.
- Security/fraud prevention — legitimate interest.
5. Recipients
- DMC Travco Travel Company of Egypt (Cairo).
- Local providers (hotels, transport, guides) via Travco.
- Hosting: Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva).
- Fiduciary, legal counsel.
- Administrative, tax, judicial authorities as required.
- Insurance company in case of loss.
We do not sell, rent or exchange your data for commercial purposes.
6. Transfers outside Switzerland and the EU
Performance involves transfer to DMC Travco in Egypt, which is not recognised by FDPIC or EC as providing adequate protection. Transfer framed by standard contractual clauses per Article 16 nLPD and Articles 44+ GDPR. Summary available on request.
7. Retention
- Prospect: 3 years from last contact.
- Customer: 10 years (Art. 958f CO).
- Newsletter consent: until withdrawal.
- Non-essential cookies: max 13 months.
- Connection/security logs: 12 months.
8. Your rights
- Access, rectification, erasure (“right to be forgotten”), objection (including direct marketing), restriction, portability (GDPR), consent withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint: FDPIC (Bern) for Switzerland; CNIL (France) or competent EU authority.
To exercise these rights, write to info@kairos-travel.ch with proof of identity. Response within one month.
9. Security
Appropriate technical and organisational measures: HTTPS, restricted access, encrypted backups, intrusion protection, access logging. Notification of breach with high risk per Articles 24 nLPD / 34 GDPR.
10. Cookies
- Essential: deposited without consent, required for site operation.
- Audience measurement (e.g. Google Analytics with IP anonymisation): only after consent.
- Personalisation/marketing: only after explicit consent.
Preferences can be modified via the cookie banner on every page. Browser configuration alternative available.
11. Minors
Services intended for adults. Minor data collected only for contract execution with express parental consent.
12. Policy changes
Any substantial modification will be notified appropriately. Applicable version: the one published on this page on the date of your interaction.
