Version 2.0, in force as of 3 September 2026
Lord of Swiss SA, which operates the Kairos Travel brand, sets out below the personal data it processes, what it does with them, to whom it passes them, how long it keeps them and what rights you may exercise.
This policy covers the kairos-travel.ch website and the exchanges that follow contact with Kairos Travel.
1. Data controller
Lord of Swiss SA Registered office: Chemin du Stade 16, 1252 Meinier, Switzerland Offices: Route de Pré-Bois 20, 1215 Geneva, Switzerland Business identification number: CHE-184.793.269 Email: info@kairos-travel.ch
Lord of Swiss SA has not appointed a data protection adviser. Any question concerning your data is to be sent to info@kairos-travel.ch.
2. Applicable framework
The processing described here falls under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection of 25 September 2020 and its implementing ordinance, in force since 1 September 2023.
For persons resident in the European Union, in particular in France, Belgium and Luxembourg, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 also applies, Kairos Travel directing its offering at those markets.
3. Where Lord of Swiss SA sits in the travel chain
Lord of Swiss SA acts as an intermediary. It gathers your request, puts it into shape and passes it to the travel organiser, which is a local operator. For journeys to Egypt, that organiser is Travco Travel Company of Egypt, in Cairo.
The organiser then processes your data for its own purposes, under its own responsibility, as a separate controller. Your rights in relation to the organiser are exercised with the organiser. Lord of Swiss SA will relay your request if you wish.
Lord of Swiss SA collects no payment and therefore processes no card data and no bank details belonging to you.
4. Data processed
Data you provide
- Identity: surname, first name, form of address.
- Contact details: email address, telephone number, country of residence, postal address where you provide it.
- Travel project: intended dates, duration, destination, composition of the party, ages of children travelling, level of service sought, indicative budget you enter, interests.
- Personal constraints you choose to tell us about: diet, reduced mobility, health information relevant to the journey.
- Identity documents: passport number, date of birth, nationality and expiry date, where the organiser requires them to make the booking or to apply for visas.
- Correspondence: the content of your emails and messages.
Data collected automatically
The host's technical logs record the IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested and the browser type, solely for the operation and security of the website.
The website uses Google Analytics 4, an audience measurement tool provided by Google Ireland Limited. It runs only after you have given your consent. Until you consent, no measurement cookie is placed and no audience data is sent. Once you consent, the tool records the pages viewed, the length of the visit, where the visit came from, the device type and an approximate location inferred from the IP address at regional level. It collects neither your name, nor your email address, nor your telephone number.
Visitors logged in to the site administration are not measured.
The website uses no advertising tracker and no social network button that would place a tracker.
5. Sensitive data
Information concerning your health, in particular a medical diet, an allergy or reduced mobility, is sensitive data under Swiss law and a special category of data under the European Regulation.
It is processed only if you provide it on your own initiative for the purposes of your journey, and only in order to adapt the services. It is passed to the organiser to the extent necessary for that adaptation. You are never obliged to provide it.
6. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis under the Regulation |
|---|---|
| Answering your request, preparing and adjusting a quotation | Pre-contractual steps taken at your request, Article 6(1)(b) |
| Passing your booking request to the organiser and following your file | Performance of the advisory and introduction contract, Article 6(1)(b) |
| Assisting you during the journey and relaying a complaint | Performance of the advisory and introduction contract, Article 6(1)(b) |
| Processing health data you provide for the journey | Your explicit consent, Article 9(2)(a) |
| Keeping accounts and meeting Swiss legal obligations | Legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c) |
| Sending you commercial information | Your consent, revocable at any time, Article 6(1)(a) |
| Operating and securing the website | Legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) |
| Measuring website audience with Google Analytics 4 | Your consent, revocable at any time, Article 6(1)(a) |
| Establishing or defending a legal claim | Legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) |
Under Swiss law, this processing rests on performance of the contract, on the information you provide, on a legal obligation or on an overriding interest, as described above.
7. Recipients
Your data are passed:
- to Travco Travel Company of Egypt (Cairo, Egypt), the travel organiser, in order to prepare the proposal and then carry out your booking;
- to the local suppliers engaged by the organiser, in particular hotels, transport operators and guides, strictly to the extent necessary for the service booked;
- to Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland), which hosts the website and provides the business email service;
- to the company's accountants and legal advisers, who are bound by professional secrecy;
- to Google Ireland Limited, for website audience measurement only and only if you have consented to it;
- to the authorities, administrative, tax or judicial, in the cases where the law so requires.
Your data are neither sold, nor rented, nor exchanged.
8. Transfer to Egypt
Preparing your quotation and carrying out your booking require your data to be passed to the organiser, which is located in Egypt.
Egypt does not appear in Annex 1 to the Swiss Data Protection Ordinance, which lists the States whose legislation the Federal Council recognises as affording an adequate level of protection. Nor does it benefit from an adequacy decision of the European Commission. The level of data protection there is therefore lower than that guaranteed in Switzerland and in the European Union, and the remedies available to you locally may be more limited.
The transfer rests on Article 17 paragraph 1 letter b of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, which permits the disclosure of data abroad where it is directly connected with the conclusion or performance of a contract, either between the controller and yourself, or between the controller and its counterparty in your interest. For residents of the European Union it rests on Article 49(1)(b) and (c) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Without this transfer, no travel proposal can be prepared for you.
You are informed of this transfer and of its consequences before it takes place. You may object to it at any time, which brings the handling of your request to an end.
8bis. Transfer connected with audience measurement
If you consent to audience measurement, the corresponding data is processed by Google Ireland Limited, whose parent company is established in the United States. A transfer of data to the United States is therefore possible.
That transfer rests on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses entered into by Google, and on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google adheres. For Switzerland it rests on the Swiss extension of that same framework.
This processing rests solely on your consent, within the meaning of Article 6 paragraph 6 of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation. You may withdraw it at any time, through the cookie settings banner, without this affecting your access to the website or the handling of your request.
9. Retention periods
| Data | Period |
|---|---|
| Request not pursued, quotation not confirmed | 3 years from the last contact |
| Client file, journey carried out | 10 years from the end of the relationship, under the obligation to retain accounting records |
| Health data provided for a journey | Deleted at the end of the journey, unless a dispute is pending |
| Copy of a passport or identity document | Deleted as soon as the organiser confirms the booking |
| Consent to receive commercial information | Until consent is withdrawn |
| Website technical logs | 12 months |
10. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have them corrected, to have them erased, to object to their processing, to request that it be restricted, to receive them in a readable format and to have them transmitted to a third party, and to withdraw at any time a consent you have given.
To exercise these rights, write to info@kairos-travel.ch. Evidence of your identity may be requested if there is any doubt. You will receive a reply within one month.
If the reply does not satisfy you, you may apply to a supervisory authority:
- in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, Bern;
- in France, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés;
- in Belgium, the Data Protection Authority;
- in Luxembourg, the Commission nationale pour la protection des données.
Rights exercised in relation to the travel organiser are exercised directly with the organiser. Lord of Swiss SA will provide its contact details and relay your request.
11. Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Access to files is limited to those who need it. Email is hosted in Switzerland with Infomaniak. Backups are encrypted.
These measures reduce risk without removing it. In the event of a data breach likely to result in a high risk to your rights, you are informed as soon as possible and the competent authority is notified.
12. Cookies and trackers
The website places two families of cookies.
Necessary cookies, placed without consent because the website does not work without them. They carry the language preference, the session while a form is being completed, and the record of your cookie choices. The latter are kept for 365 days so that you are not asked again on every visit. They are not used to track you and are not passed to third parties.
Audience measurement cookies, placed only after you have consented. They belong to Google Analytics 4 and are named _ga and _ga_84P8YLQRCH. They are kept for two years. They make it possible to distinguish visitors and to measure how pages are visited.
A banner is shown to you on your first visit. You may accept, refuse, or choose category by category. Refusing has no effect on your access to the website or on the handling of your request. You may change your choice at any time.
No advertising cookie is placed, with or without consent.
You may configure your browser to refuse or delete cookies. The quotation request form may then no longer work correctly.
13. Minors
The website is addressed to adults. Data concerning a minor are processed only within a travel project carried by an adult holding parental authority.
14. Amendment of this policy
This policy may be amended to reflect a change in processing or a change in the law. The version applicable is the one published on this page on the date of your interaction. The version date appears at the head of the document.
