Hurghada, Egypt

A break on the Red Sea

Hurghada gives you several days by the sea after visiting Cairo or the Nile Valley. The town and coast allow very different days depending on whether you prefer a beach, a walk in town or time on the water.

Swim, snorkel or dive?

You can love the sea without wanting to dive. Say whether you hope to swim, look beneath the surface or try a supervised activity. Sea conditions, the chosen site and your comfort in the water matter more than a list of activities promised in advance.

How long should you stay?

Two or three days already leave room to rest between journeys. A longer stay suits travellers who want the sea to be the main part of their trip. When combining Hurghada with Cairo or Luxor, count the transfer as travel time, not as a full beach day.

Choose the right setting

Before arranging an outing, check shore access, required experience and local conditions. Sites and operators should be chosen for your plans and dates; conditions at sea vary from day to day.
